LAD #17 Carnegie

Andrew Carnegie made his wealth from the railroads, he was a very succesfull business man in his. He decided to give back to the community by creating what he called the "gospel of wealth." Today it is easy to see the differences between the uppers classes and the lower classes but these differences do not have to be considered bad becuase we need wealthly people in our society to help it grow as a whole. The question for our generation is how can the money be better destributed through out the people of society. It should not be passed down from ancestors or parents because it will eventually lead to corruption with the family's money. The fact that there are now taxes on large estates when a rich person dies shows that people are getting revenge on those few wealthy ones who wait until after their death to allow the community to use their money that they greedishy denied the public during their life. The best way for the community to benifit from the wealth of others is for them to spread it through the economy during their lifetimes. This will benifit everyone in the economy; rich and poor, and it is by no means like communism because it is better than everyone getting the same amount of money. The job of a wealthy man is to life simply and use his wealth to really make an impact and difference in the community and economy of his fellow brothers.
